Cecil Foster, Jr

Cecil Foster Jr, 60 of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 at St Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock.  He was born December 12, 1961 in Russellville, Arkansas to Cecil Foster Sr and Mattie Christine Neal Foster.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Aletryce Faye Holmes and niece, Aletryce Ann Holmes.

Cecil honorably served his country in the US Army.  He worked at ConAgra for 41 years.  Cecil never met a stranger.  He talked to everyone anywhere he was.   His legacy will live on.  He is gone, but never forgotten.  

He is survived by his loving daughter, Asia Foster; grandson, Jayden Foster; two sisters, Cecilia Ann James and husband Harry, Sr., Marilyn Kaye Austin and husband Louis; loving companion, Michele Turner and her sons, Dylan Turner, Dalton Turner; Tadina Hunter, whom he considered a daughter, nieces and nephews, Allen Holmes, Carnell Holmes, Chris Holmes, Cetrevia Jordan, Dajin Holmes, Harry James, III, Cecil James,  Nasha Turner, Quenci Smith and Jamey Smith.

His visitation will be 5-7pm, Friday, September 30, 2022 at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church.   The Funeral service will be at the church 2pm, Saturday, October 1, 2022 with burial following in Reed Cemetery, with military honors.  The  Rev. A. Lee Tyus will officiate.  Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral. 

Pallbearers will be his nephews.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Russellville High School class of 1980.
