Dan Wheat

Dan Gayden Wheat, 74 of Atkins, Arkansas formerly of Pottsville, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, January 11, 2024.  He was born July 16, 1949 in Colombia, Louisiana to Ray Gayden and Christine Wheat. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Emily. 

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan Wheat; daughter, "Danika" Kay Lynn Wheat; twin sons, Ray Gayden Wheat and Jeffrey Allen Wheat; grandchildren, Cameron, Katy, Ivy, Carson, Kyle, Kurtis and a host of family and friends. 

Dan enjoyed fishing and running in his spare time. He loved to run 5k's, half marathons, and full marathons. Dan was a good family man and gentle soul who will be truly missed. 

The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
