Darlene McNeely

Darlene McNeely, 89, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on November 2, 1934, in New Philadelphia, Ohio to the late Robert and Edna Miller. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert Miller, and her son Mark McNeely.

She is survived by her devoted husband, James C. McNeely, her loving sons James D. McNeely and Steven McNeely, and her cherished daughter Gale Saenz. Darlene also leaves behind a legacy of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will always hold her memory dear.

Throughout her life, Darlene was a dedicated educator of the arts for over 24 years. She had a passion for nature and enjoyed hiking and backpacking for weeks at a time. One of the many highlights of her adventures was reaching the summit of Mt. Whitney.

A Celebration of Life Service to honor Darlene will be held at Russellville Family Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be on Friday the 15th at 4 P.M . The arrangements are under the thoughtful direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
