Dennis Ford

Dennis Ray Ford, 70 of Clarksville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at his home.  He was born August 29, 1949 in Bakersfield, California to Dennis Franklin Ford and Alma Lurena Cunningham.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Jo Boatman and brothers, Jim Ford and Carl Ford.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Shirley Ruth Ford; two sons, Jason Franklin Ford and wife Deana, Clarksville,  Jeremy Ray Ford and wife Amanda, Springdale; five grandsons, Joshua Ford, Levi Ford, Drake Ford, Hayden Ford, Pierce Ford,; three sisters, Joann Martin and husband Roy, Floral, AR, Ruth Ann Culbertson and husband Lee, Bakersfield, CA; sister, Mary Lou Grider, Muskogee, OK; sisters-in-law, Connie Ford, Wainewright, OK, Kay Ford, Bakersfield, CA; several other family and friends.

Dennis was a loving husband, father and grandfather.   He loved life! He left this life, in one of his favorite places, sitting in his chair, overlooking the river.  Dennis had a serving heart.  He is a member of New Life Church in Clarksville, where he served as Men's Life Group Leader , as well as the serve team.  He previously pastored for eleven years and served on the Ozark Public School board for five years.  He assisted Shirley with the Royal Family Kids. 

Dennis was a US Army Veteran, who served in the Vietnam War.  Military honors will be provided by the Rogers-Rye Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2283 of Russellville.

His memorial service and life celebration will be 10am, Wednesday,  November 13, 2019 at Russellville Family Funeral Chapel.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
