She was preceded in death by her beloved son, James Edward Garrett; her parents, Emmett and Lula Bolton; four brothers, Troy Jeans, Roy Jeans, Bill Bolton and BJ Bolton; two sisters, Agnes Duncan and her twin sister, Bettie Lou Turney.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62-years, James Garrett; three children, Donna Garrett, Judy Mathis (Chris) and Mark Garrett (Christian) all of Russellville, AR. Dottie was an adoring “Granny” to ten grandchildren, Mary, Taylor (Dylan), Corey (Kasie), Kristin (Brandon), Braden (Tyler), Brittney (Oscar), Nathan (AJ), Gracie (Damian), Noah, Erika and eight beautiful great-grandchildren.
Dottie was blessed with countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family members.
Dottie was a life-long Christian and devoted homemaker. She was an active participant in the lives of her family and Woodlawn Free Will Baptist Church. Dottie was a beautiful human being inside and out - always kind, gentle and fiercely protective. Through her final days, her spicy sense of humor continued to make us smile.
Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, January 6, 2023 at Russellville Family Funeral Home in Russellville, Arkansas with Rev. Jerry Burris officiating. The burial will be held privately.
The family would like to acknowledge the loving care provided by Legacy Heights caregivers, Charlotte “Charlie” Millikin and Kandy Wygal (Home Hospice) and extended family members Margaret Simpson and Stacey Yother.
