Douglas LeRoy Hoffschneider, 79 years, was born September 17, 1945 in Denver, Colorado to LeRoy and Jacqueline (Stenbeck) Hoffschneider.
He proudly and honorably served in the Untied States Airforce. He graduated from the University of Colorado, with a degree in financing and worked most of his adult life as a Superintendent for D.R. Horton Home Builders.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, LeRoy Hoffschneider (2000) and Jacqueline Hoffschneider (2014) of Mesa, Arizona. A younger brother, Dave Hoffschneider (2017), a son, Frankie, 10 months (1960) of Hanau, Germany, a son, Jimmy W. Rushing, Jr. (2019) of Louisville, Kentucky.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Monique Hoffschneider, 83 years of Dover, Arkansas. A daughter, Margit McCowan (Roy) of Richardson, Texas, a son, Jeffrey Reeves (Jacqueline) of Enterprise, Alabama, a daughter, Barbra Clark of Russellville, Arkansas, a son, Charles Rushing (Bev) of Macon, Georgia and an adopted daughter, Tamara Jordan and family of San Diego, California. A brother, Larry Hoffschneider (Carla) of Aurora, Colorado, brother, Ron Hoffschneider (Gerri) of Glendale, Arizona. One niece, Robyn Nelson (Steve) of Harrison, Maine; nephew, Eric Hoffschneider (Cathy) of Aurora, Colorado. A brother-in-law, Willi Stickelmayer and family of Schwennigen, Germany. Grandchildren, Misty Dewitt Collins of Mayflower, Arkansas, Shaun Baxter (Chelsea), of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Shannon Skibbe (Adam) of Coralville, Iowa, Stephanie Jeffers (Nathan) of Daleville, Alabama, Dusty Rushing of Killeen, Texas, MSgt. Jacklyn Hammock (Michael) of USAF in Japan, Brianna Kristofik (Kurt) of Bigelow, Arkansas, Allison Varnell (Wesley) of Mayflower, Arkansas, Mackenzie Rushing of Haskell, Arkansas; 14 great grandchildren along with many other extended family and friends.
Graveside funeral service will be 11am, Friday, December 13, 2024 at Fort Smith National Cemetery, with full military honors.
