Edith "Jewell" Sanders

Edith "Jewell" Sanders, 87 of Scottsville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the Arkansas River Valley Hospice Home in Russellville.  She was born July 1, 1932 in Scottsville to Elmer and Stella Goates Sanders.   
 
Jewell was a member of Price Grove Assembly of God Church.  She had a serving heart working in the nursing industry for many years. She loved to spend time with her family. She also loved to be outdoors gardening, hunting and fishing. She loved animals, especially her little dog, Peanut. Words can not describe what an incredible mother and grandmother she was. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Joseph Huffman; granddaughter, Shelia Kisling; great-grandson, Braxton Huffman; brothers, Owen Sanders, John Sanders. 

She is survived by her six children, Patricia & Bob Boyd, Betty & Donald Tillman, Garry & Joyce Huffman, Dennis & Trish Huffman, Tim & Donita Huffman, Jacque & Derek Tereza; adopted son, Lavoyd Haney of Missouri; grandchildren, Tamara Beavers, Lori Canfield, Kerri Rudder, Daniel Hern, Teddy Hern, Ashley Anhault, Susan Grider, Jennifer Thacker, Jessica Rackley, Hunter Huffman, Matt Huffman, Gerrad Huffman, Caileah Huffman, Lauryn Tereza, Kye Tereza; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sister, Shirley Laymon, Pat & Raymond Chance; one brother Ronnie & Brenda Sanders; numerous other family and friends. 

There is no visitation planned. The funeral service will be 10am Friday, September 13, 2019 at Price Grove Assembly of God Church with Rev. Ken Partain and Hunter Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Goates cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral. 

Pallbearers will be Hunter Huffman, Kye Tereza, Matt Huffman, Gerrad Huffman, Tyler Cravens, Alex Cravens. 

Honorary pallbearers will be her sons-in-law and daughters-in-law.
