Howard Warner Curry, born on January 24, 1940, in Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024, at the Russellville Nursing Home in Russellville, Arkansas, at the age of 84.
Howard was blessed to marry the love of his life, Linda Faye Skelton, on September 4, 1957. During that time, they raised five children and lived all over the country. Howard and Linda were married over 67 years.
Howard joined the Navy in October 1958, serving on active duty until 1970. He continued his service in the reserves, retiring from the military in 1978. After active duty, Howard spent his career in the nuclear industry. He ultimately retired from Arkansas Nuclear One in 2003 and lived the rest of his life in Russellville Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson D. Curry; his mother, Lorene Davis; and his son, Charles (Chuck) Curry.
Howard is survived by his loving wife, Linda Curry of Russellville; his siblings, Charles Curry, Glenda Wilson, and Lanae Brooks; and his children, Lisa Curry, Rick Curry, Pam (Ed) Miller, Michael Curry, and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Curry.
Howard also leaves behind grandchildren: Audra (Alex) Yovanovich, Christopher Curry, Grant Curry, Kyler (Beyza) Curry, Madeline Miller, and Courtney Curry, as well as two great-grandchildren, Mara and Enzo.
Howard was a devoted fan of Alabama football, he loved to cheer for the Crimson Tide. Howard enjoyed listening to old-time radio programs and traveling in his RV.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday the 20th at 1pm at the Russellville Family Funeral Home Chapel, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life.
