James Lynn Turner, 55 of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, Arkansas. He was born November 12, 1968 in Morrilton, Arkansas to Joseph Braxton Turner Jr. and Frances Elizabeth Miller Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Wayne Chisum; niece, Brandi Chisum.
He is survived by his five siblings; Charlotte (Lloyd) Duvall of Russellville, Ruby Chisum of Scottsville, Philip (Judy) Turner of Marshall, Sheila (Stanley) Collins of Ben Hur, Randy Turner of Russellville; aunt, Charlene Bishop of Bluffton; uncles, Tom Miller of NC, Rodney Miller of Russellville; 15 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.
James loved to go to church and worship the Lord. He carried a bible every time he went to church. HIs Calvary Temple church family embraced him and he loved to help play the guitar. In addition to his church goings, James enjoyed working for STAR and the friends he made there.
His visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday, April 4th, 2024 at Russellville Family Funeral. The Funeral service will be 2pm Friday, April 5th. 2024 at Calvary Temple Assembly of God officiated by Jeff Lewis and Joyce and Devoe Campbell. Burial will follow in Shiloh North of Atkins. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
Pallbearers will be Kerry Blair, C W Henderson, Thomas Taylor, Dustin Bailey, Dusty Lee and Jonia Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Calvary Temple Church and the staff at STAR.
