LaSonya Jean Foster

LaSonya Jean Foster 51 of Russellville, was born June 28, 1970 to the late Johnny Foster and Bertha Foster in Russellville, AR. She departed her earthly home on September 9, 2021 at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Sonya accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. John Dale Holland at New Prospect M.B. Church, where she remained a member until her death.

She is preceded in death by her father, Johnny Foster Sr. and brother, Chad Foster.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Bertha Foster of Russellville, AR; two sons, Christopher Foster, Christian Foster of Russellville, AR; two sisters, Andrea Ross of Fort Worth, TX, LaTonya Foster of Russellville, AR; two brothers, Johnny Foster Jr. (Heather) of Finley, OH, Rodney Foster (Angela) of Conway, AR; Fiancé, Lorenzo Banyard; five aunts, Addie White (Albert), Joyce Moody, Sara Oaks, Birdene Brown, Gloria Jean Lampkin; two uncles, Fred Walker, Eddie Walker; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held 10 AM Saturday, September 18, 2021 at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Reed Cemetery under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.

There will be a walk-through visitation, Friday September 17, 2021 from 5pm until 6pm at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church.

Due to CDC guidelines, the family is encouraging friends that attend the walk through visitation, to social distance and wear a face covering. Please follow these guidelines if you attend the service as well.
