MSG Lee Roy Fields, 87 of Dover, Arkansas, passed away, Thursday, March 6, 2025. He was born July 6, 1937 in Russellville, Arkansas to Clifton R Fields Sr and Dora Minnie Niemeyer Fields. He was preceded in death by parents; his son, Craig Fields and several siblings.
Lee Roy Fields graduated from Russellville High School in 1955. He spent 22 years active duty with the US Army, retiring as Master Sergeant. Lee also worked in federal civil service to include HQS Department of the Army in Washington DC with the Surgeon General and Inspector General.
One of Lee's passions was hunter and boater education. He was an instructor in AR for 19 years and in VA for 12 years. AGFC recognized his service in 2012 naming him the Hunting Education Instructor of the year.
Lee and his wife Carol, were also passionate about volunteering with Nova Star Rescue.
He is survived by wife, Carol Fields; children, Jeff Henley and Markuetta, Sheri Stofer and husband Jeff, Brian Fields; bonus children, Cindy Wallis and Ken, Sheri Brinkmeyer and Allan, Cynthia Schmitz and Jason, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister, Bernice Church and his beloved fur baby, Kat.
His funeral service, with full military honors will be 10am., Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120, under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
Instead of sending flowers or plants, Lee would be so honored for friends and relatives to donate to the Nova Star Rescue, 14682 SR 333, Dover, AR 72837.
