Louise Sweeden, 72 of Atkins, Arkansas, went to her heavenly home, Wednesday, October 30, 2024. She was born September 21, 1952 in Atkins, Arkansas to Wesley and Margie Linton Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Finis Martin, granddaughter, Jerrika Sweeden; great grandson, Ethan Hicks; brothers-in-law, Jay Deal and Carl Long.
Louise was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved Jesus with all her heart. She was a member of Faith Church in Dardanelle. She and Robbie touched so many lives, singing and sharing the gospel in over 30 states. Louise also sang with Jackie and Carla Piearcy with Gospel On The Road. She and Robbie were always together, side by side, no matter what. They enjoyed cruises, visiting family in Texas and shopping. Everyone who met Louise was touched forever, with her contagious smile, laugh and her love for gospel music. Jeff and her grandchildren were her life; she was always there for them. No matter the role or task, she was there willing to go the extra mile and loving on her grands. They are the amazing people they are today, due to her nurturing guidance, love and huge heart. Words cannot sum up the amazing woman she was.
She is survived by husband of 55 years, Robbie Sweeden; son, Jeff Sweeden; grandchildren, Lezlie Sweeden Burris and Jordan; Deanna Sweeden Hicks; Joanna Sweeden, Jeff "Bub" Sweeden, Jr., Sienna Sweeden; great grandchildren, Ben Hicks, Colton Hicks, Mason Hicks; siblings, Katherine "Kat" Long, Marilyn "Mert" Deal; best friends, Nina Sue Roberts Keys, Maxine Huffmaster, Irvin Johnson, Peggy Ketchum, Donna Hearne, Steve Hemmer, Betty Martin Hicks (and family), as well as a community of other family and friends.
Her visitation will be 5-7pm, Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Russellville Family Funeral. The Funeral service will be 1:00pm, Friday, November 1, 2024 at Russellville Family Funeral with burial following in Bells Chapel Cemetery in Atkins, with Bro. Jimmy Turner and Mr. Wren Whiteseven officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
Pallbearers will be Jeff "Bub" Sweeden, Jordan Burris, Irvin Johnson, Erick Sweeden, Mark Pace and Keith Long.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lezlie Burris, Deanna Sweeden Hicks, Joanna Sweeden, Sienna Sweeden, Dustin Eldridge, Geoffery Eldridge, Tony Williams and Cody Howard.
