Melvin E.Granger, age 66 of Monticello, AR and recently of Russellville, AR passed away after a brief, but hard fought illness on June 9, 2020. He was born in Brownstown, Indiana on January 19, 1954 to Edsel and Mary Ellen Fox-Granger. He graduated from Kirkwood Senior High in Kirkwood, MO. Mel studied Addictions Counseling at The University of Louisiana at Monroe and Psychology at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He earned a Master's Degree and was a Drug and Alcohol Counselor at New Beginnings in Monticello, AR. He loved music and helping others. He is survived by his brothers, Alan (Maria) Granger of Bourne, TX, Ted (Lou) of Baton Rouge, LA, Wayne (Chris) of Round Rock, TX, Mark Granger of Russellville, AR, sister Carolyn (Floyd) Emily of Sullivan, MO., his sons Eric and Jason, grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of work family and friends. A private service will be held at a later date. Cremation services provided by Russellville Family Funeral Home, Russellville, AR. Memorials in his honor can be made to ARVAC, Dardanelle, AR.
