Minnie Beatrice Smith

Minnie Beatrice Smith, 87 of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 at the River Valley Hospice Home. She was born April 19, 1932 in London, Arkansas to Charles and Effie Parker. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde Smith; granddaughter, Rhonda Neis and six siblings.

She is survived by her two daughters, Clydale Neis & husband Ron of Topeka, KS and Lorie Rackley & husband Perry of Dover, AR; grandchildren, Ryan Neis & wife Caty of Shawnee, KS, Kyle Neis of Topeka, KS, Andrea Whitbey & husband Chad of Russellville, AR, Carlin Rackley of Dover, AR; five great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; siblings, Bessie Faulkner of Clarksville, AR, Jim Parker of London, AR and several other family and friends. 

Minnie was employed by Arkansas Tech for many years. She loved to work and take care of others. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, sewing and quilting. 

Visitation will be 1-2pm Monday, August 26, 2019 at Russellville Family Funeral Chapel with the funeral service starting at 2pm. Burial will follow at Ball Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral. 

The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Thurlby and the wonderful nurses at the River Valley Hospice Home.

Pallbearers will be Chad Whitbey, Sam Cecil, John Hunter, Dalton Scoles, Richard Hibbs.
