Naomi Treadwell Darter, 87, of Russellville, passed away, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. She was born May 5, 1933 in England, Arkansas, to George "Bud" Treadwell and Emma Louise Wagner Treadwell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jerry Darter; sister, Robbie Hughart of Oklahoma City and an infant brother.
Naomi was a long-time member of Russellville First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed attending the New Dimensions Sunday School class as well as the Always Young (AY) fellowship group. She also enjoyed spending time with relatives and traveling. After the passing of her husband, she became a volunteer worker at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. Her family and friends all knew her as a compassionate and caring lady.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Deanna Darter of Siloam Springs and Mark and Odette Darter of Centerton; two sisters, Lola King of Bakersfield, California and Jean Lindsey of Porum, Oklahoma, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10am, Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Russellville Family Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Mike Norberg officiating. No visitation is planned. Burial will be in Old Baptist Cemetery, near Center Valley, under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
