Nelson "Eddie" Drope

Nelson "Eddie" Drope, 64 of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 22, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri to Denver Dawson and Nora Lee Clark. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Denver Dawson; brother, David Williams; grandparents, Nelson and Beulah Williams of Grubbs. 

He is survived by his mother, Nora Clark; children, Eddie Jr., Shirley, Tina, Shonda, Kim, Shyanne, Kevin "Bubba" and Eli Drope; many grandchildren; siblings, Johnny Drope, Carla Saunders, Hope Lenora Moraga, Ladonna Blair, Daniel Johnson and several neices, nephews, family and friends. 

Eddie was known for his big heart. He was a true cowboy and loved his horses and his family. He will be deeply missed.  

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Russellville Family Funeral. Burial will be 12pm Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at North Little Rock.
