Robert "Tom" William Garrett

Robert "Tom" William Garrett, 84 of Pottsville, Arkansas, passed away Friday, September 20, 2019.  He was born January 31, 1935 in Success, Missouri to William Elba Robert Garrett and Mary Jane McCoy Garrett. 

Tom loved his family and friends. In his spare time he liked to watch westerns and visit with anyone he met. He was a hard worker. He enjoyed his time with his Irby work family valuing their friendship, respect and prayers for one another. Before his passing, long time family friend, JoAnn Hefley led Tom to the Lord. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Lee Parks-Garrett; Parents; two brothers, Leon Garrett, Lynn Garrett; son, Ricky Joe Matthews.

He is survived by his children, Greg Garrett & Wendy, Elizabeth Garrett-Parrish & Paul, Janice Garrett-White & Randy "Red"; grandchildren, Joe Matthews, Randon Matthews, Kera Matthews-Parent, Kristen Matthews-Richardson, Jasmine Matthews, Jessi Hoenes, Thomas Garrett, Shawn Parrish, Christina Wachtendorf, Deserie Nelson, Chad Burge; 34 great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Retta Hall, Carmie McAllister, Wilma Wade & Morris, Raymond Garrett & Linda, Farrell Garrett, Lonnie Garrett & Rose, Ronnie Garrett & Viola; sister-in-law, Mary Lois Lewallen and several other family and friends.

His visitation will be 5-7pm Tuesday September 24, 2019 at Russellville Family Funeral.  The funeral service will be 10am Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Russellville Family Funeral with brother Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
