Samantha Jean Hopper, 19 of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away September 11, 1998 in Russellville. She was born October 22, 1978 in Dover to Ricky and Debbie Mahan.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Courtney Holt; child, Angel Baby; brother, Daniel Mahan; grandfather, Oliver Seward; grandmother, Euvie Seward; aunt, Faye Clair; uncle, Walter Adney Sr; aunt, Pat Cook; aunt, Bonnie Yarbrough; cousin, Eddie Parker.

She is survived by her parents; brother, James Roy Mahan; daughter, Dezarae Carpenter & husband, Rick; granddaughter, Oakley Carpenter; grandmother, Joyce Grigsby; aunt, Lorie Britton; aunt, Debbie Cortez, & husband, Terry; aunt, Marci Kelly, & husband, Michael; aunt, Joann Ward, & husband, Danny; uncle, Larry Massie, & wife, Renea; aunt, Lisa Vaughn, & husband, Phillip, and numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.

Samantha was a free spirit and loved to travel. She loved spending time with her family. She was Daddy’s Girl and loved to fish with him. She was very spontaneous and adventurous. She loved her children more than anything and would do anything for them. She was charismatic, loyal, caring, and would always stick up for anyone who needed it.

A private service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Russellville Family Funeral. Per the family’s request, masks will be required. There will be a live stream of the service available to watch on the Russellville Family Funeral Facebook page for anyone who is unable to attend.

There will be a candlelight vigil held at 6:00 pm under the bridge on Pleasant View Rd. The family welcomes the community to come share their memories.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Mahan, Rick Carpenter, John Kelly, Walter Adney Jr., Kyle Crihfield, Greg Crihfield & Lester Holt Jr.
