Sandra Kaye Sotomayor

Sandra Kaye Sotomayor, 76 of Russellville, Arkansas passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones on Friday, August 4, 2023.  She was born July 19, 1947 in New Hope, Arkansas to the late Stanley Guy Batchelor and Edna Mae Hutson Baishop. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Alfonso Richard Sotomayor Sr.; sister, June Wesselhoft; brothers; Guy Batchelor and Keno Batchelor. 

She is survived by her five children, Al & Tammie Sotomayor, Cassy Sotomayor, Ben & Rachelle Sotomayor, Mike & Kim Bench, Jacob & Courtney Sotomayor; 11 grandchildren, Amy Sotomayor, Amber Harmon, Zac (Aaron) Sotomayor, Allison Sosa, Alex Sotomayor, Angel Bench, Alexa Turner, Ariel Bench, Abba Savage, Austin Sotomayor, Axl Sotomayor; 13 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Caleigh, Bryce, Kellin, Justice, Brantley, Owen, Lincoln, Grayson, Jericho, Harley, Liam, Jameson; four siblings, Doris Kimbrough, Barbara Thrasher, Mary Jo Pledger, Mike Christian; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Sandra loved God and her family above all. Sunday dinners, holidays, cooking, and card games every Wednesday with her gals "The Old Lady's Club" were some of her favorite things. She was a very loving mother and grandmother who never let anyone go hungry. 

Her visitation will be 5-7pm Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 at Russellville Family Funeral. A celebration of life will follow 7:30pm at Lake Hills Church 1505 Marina Road Russellville, AR 72802 officiated by Dee Stone. Following the service will be fellowship and food at Al & Tammie Sotomayor's House 103 Dawn Circle Russellville, Ar 72802. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
