Shirley Mitchell, aged 71, of Houston, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at her residence in Houston. She was born on November 10, 1952 in Santa Paula, California to the late Jimmy Marvin Dennis and Lillian Rogers. Shirley was reunited in eternity with her beloved parents and husband as well as two sisters and a brother who preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are her dear Close Friend, Dixie Rackley; her caring brother Jim Dennis and his wife Jana; her loving sisters Sandy Jackson, Karen Caldwell and her husband Jamie; her devoted son Randy Mitchell and his wife Michele. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Joshua Mitchell and his wife Shelby, Madison Mitchell, Paige Mitchell and Selena Ezekial, Taylor Limbaugh and her husband Scotty; great-grandson Theodore Mitchell and great-granddaughter Harmoni Mitchell.
Known for being a grandmother in every sense of the word, Shirley held a special place in the hearts of all who knew her. Her boundless love for children earned her the title "grandmother of all grandmothers." Shirley found joy in traveling which she fondly referred to as "Field Trips."
A member of the First Assembly of God in Vilonia, Arkansas, Shirley's faith was central to her life. A Celebration of Life honoring Shirley will be held at a later date to commemorate her remarkable journey.
Funeral arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to the caring hands of Russellville Family Funeral in Russellville, AR. Shirley Mitchell will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she shared and the lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
