Terri Schlinker

Terri Marie Garza Schlinker passed away at her home in Russellville on October 19th, 2021. She was 55 years young. Terri is well known from all the years she served at the Catfish Hole. She took pride working for Patsy (known as grandma Patsy), and having regulars who would come see her often. Oh boy, Terri was one of a kind. She truly had the biggest heart and had an open door policy, but don’t you DARE touch her last Dr. pepper! Anyone was welcome at anytime. She would give you the shirt off of her back right then and there. Now, one thing about Terri is she loved to talk and tell stories. Sometimes she would call you, and you’d realize that you haven’t even gotten a word in for 30 minutes. But, you enjoyed hearing her stories or listening to how her day went. Terri’s greatest blessings in life called her “mom” and “nana”. She truly will be missed. Terri wanted us to not be sad, but to celebrate her life. What an honor that we get to do that for her.
She is survived by her mother Donna(Dave) Abbe of Waxahachie, TX., her father John (Jo Ann) Garza, Jr. of Maumelle, AR., her Brother John Paul (Teri) Garza III of Tualatin, OR., her sister Tina (Mike) Brooks of Valrico, FL., her sister Marisa (Jarrod) Denton, TX., daughter Heather(Stephen) Shatzer of Sherwood, AR.,
son David Schlinker of Russellville, AR., son Bryan (Courtney) Myers of Benton, AR., one granddog, Millie, 2 honorary sons, Shane Powers of Macan, AR., and Cort Fulmer of North Little Rock, AR., and 13 grandchildren; Hunter, Destiny, Damien, Keira, Kailey, Trysten, Madisen, Samuel Austin “SJ”, Brayden, Isabell, Payton, Lyric, and Emily. She is preceeded in death by grandma and grandpa Miller, grandma and grandpa Garza, and one grandson Jace Shatzer.

Let’s celebrate this beautiful life!

I loved this woman like my own "Big sister", she took me with her everywhere she went when I was younger. We had a lot of years together. We may not have talked a lot over the past 20 years or so but she knew I always loved her!!! You will be greatly missed Terri! Give grandma Miller a big hug for me! ❤️

I remember a little "stinker" Oh wait, that was me ! But Terri has one of the best mothers Ms. Donna and I know her as "Miller" anyway my greatest condolences to Donna and family at this very sad happening. I can bet you Terri is having a "ball" with Johnny, granny Miller , Mann David and all those who went on before her! Someone hug Donna for me cause because of Covid and my Surgeon I won't be able too in person. But tell her she and All the Millers and Schlinkers are in our prayers with Love Big Kevin Steffy and wife Martha.

I'm so saddened to hear of the passing of Terri. She was so young. Her heart was bigger than she was. She always worked, but always had so many to take care of , but yet willing to always have time to do for another. God will bless her for that! She is reaping her rewards now. Prayers for the family.
