Troy Eliga Myers, of Dover, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2024, at his residence in Dover. He was born on February 16, 1949, in Biscoe, Arkansas to the late Paul Fredrick Myers and Virgie Gertrude Petty Myers.
Throughout his life, Troy dedicated himself to hard work, starting as a cotton gin operator and later transitioning to a career as a truck driver. Described as someone who never met a stranger, Troy had a passion for working on old cars, fishing, and bringing joy through his sense of humor.
For 28 years, Troy found solace and community at Gateway Pentecostal Church of God. He was known for his warm heart and welcoming spirit.
Troy is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Oma Leatha Myers; his loving daughter Pamela Neal (John Burkhart); his son Andrew "Andy" Troy Myers (Karla Jones/Susie Brock); six cherished grandchildren: Tyler Myers (Julie), Chesney Fields (Hunter), Nicole Ashcraft, Megan Brock, Tiffany Ann Neal (Luis Alvidrez), and Lena Little; eleven great-grandchildren; as well as his brothers David, Coy and Greg Myers. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation to pay respects to Troy will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 5PM to 7PM at Russellville Family Funeral.
The funeral service honoring his life will be held at 11AM on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Gateway Pentecostal Church of God, Russellville, AR
