Visitacion “Vhes” Robles Warndof, 67 of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024 in St. Mary’s Regional Health System. She was born April 24, 1957 in Pandan Ligao, Philippines to Lauro Hermoso Robles and Honoria Allorde Robles.
A Philippine native, Vhes was the first in her family to graduate college and supported them while doing humanitarian work for the United Nations. Her love reached the other side of the world when she emigrated to the United States in 1992 with her husband, Jack, and infant son, Jeffrey. Every community she touched spoke, and continues to speak, to her loving, selfless character as well as her delicious cooking: Cracker Barrel Country Store, the River Valley Tennis community, St. John’s Catholic Church, and the Russellville Filipino community.
Vhes was a rare life. Even as she suffered cancer during her final four years, her spirit and smile never waned. Her tender heart and incorruptible soul will be remembered forever. She is survived by her husband, John "Jack" Warndof of Russellville; son, Jeffrey Warndof of Van Buren; her sisters Eulalia Sequitin and Bienvenida Robles, and brother Elmer Robles of the Philippines.
Her Life Celebration service will be 10:30am, Thursday, January 16, 2025 at St. John's Catholic Church. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
