David McMahen

William "David" McMahen, 81 of Dover, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday October 21, 2022.  

He was born March 23, 1941 in Magnolia, Arkansas.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William Delton McMahen and Janie Mai Franklin McMahen; a stepdaughter, Barbara Bradley and a granddaughter, Ella Reid Hill.

David is survived by his wife of 26 years, Becky McMahen; three stepchildren, Vicki (Sammie) McClure of Russellville, Rhonda Young of Russellville, Jeffery (Kie) Hill of Collierville, Tennessee; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara McMahen Rushing; two nieces; one nephew and other family and friends.  

Dave graduated from Springhill high School, Springhill, LA in 1958. He attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA.  He served in the Army from 1959-1963, in both Korea and Washington, D.C.   He attended Wesley United Methodist Church in Russellville.  

A few of Dave's hobbies over the years: coon hunting, flying, mule riding, dirt biking, mule/horse and buggy/wagon driving.

Some of Dave's many occupations:  oil field work, hot dog stand owner, night club owner, contractor, auctioneer, yellow pages sales, small engine repair, Honda motorcycle dealership, import/wholesale business, scooter/ATV assembly plant.

Dave's celebration of life will be 11am, Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Russellville Family Funeral.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time. Pastor Mike Lowenberg will officiate.  

Graveside service and burial will be 1pm, Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in Stewart-Walkerville Cemetery near Magnolia, Arkansas.  Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church of Russellville or a charity of the donor's choice.
